The Henderson P.A.C.K. of Possibilities
P.A.C.K. stands for Persevere, Achieve, Celebrate, and Knowledge.
The names of our houses were carefully chosen in support of being a S.T.E.M. and Children's Engineering School. The names and colors for our P.A.C.K. of Possibilities houses are the following:
Creators - Red
Designers - Orange
Dreamers - Purple
Innovators - Blue
Inventors - Green
Visionaries - Yellow
What is a house system?
Students in grades KG - 5 and their entire family belong to a 'house' or group. The groups are multi-age. A house system is a fun way to motivate and encourage children to positively contribute to the culture of the school through their behaviors. The system promotes an even stronger sense of belonging as they become an important member of their unique house, working together to achieve goals. The house system provides opportunities for student leadership. There is a large emphasis on kindness, respect and growth of the mindset. Students will learn house chants and songs that are unique to each house and will learn the chants and songs for all houses. Students learn to celebrate the successes of other houses. Student ambassadors will enthusiastically welcome new students into their houses on their first day of school when they join our school family after the start of the school year.
Students will be rewarded with house points through LiveSchool. There will be a monthly Husky of the Month from each house to celebrate the person in each house with the highest house points! There will also be a quarterly house champion who will win the platinum paw and get their house on display for the next quarter! Lastly there is an overall winner for the school year!
Quartly house meetings and celebrations will be planned. There will be house spirit days on the last Wednesday of each month when all are invited to show off their P.A.C.K. of Possibilities Pride by proudly wearing their house colors. Wigs, beads, fun pants are all encouraged! When parents volunteer or participate in school committees such at H.A.C. or P.T.C.O., they will help earn points for their family's house too!
