Henderson Families,
As we wrap up our Read Across America celebrations, we’re excited to launch a special schoolwide project—The Henderson Read Aloud Library!
To honor America’s 250th birthday, our goal is to collect 250+ read‑aloud videos from our amazing Henderson community. These videos will become part of a digital library that students can enjoy all year long—and for many years to come!
We would love for your family to participate by having an adult record a read‑aloud of any favorite children’s book. This can be a parent, guardian, older sibling, grandparent—anyone who would like to share the joy of reading with our students. We also encourage families to choose books of all genres and in any language. We would love for you to share stories in your home language so our library reflects the rich diversity of our Henderson community.
How to participate:
- Choose a children’s book you love.
- Record a short read‑aloud video (phone videos are perfect!).
- Upload your video using this link.
- That’s it! We’ll add it to our schoolwide Read Aloud Library.
Feel free to get cozy, get creative, or keep it simple—whatever fits your family best. Every video helps us build a strong culture of literacy and community here at Henderson.
Thank you for helping us reach our goal of 250+ videos and for supporting the love of reading in such a meaningful way. We can’t wait to see (and hear!) your stories.
