Preschool Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
MORNING ARRIVAL
- Car Riders: Preschool students with preschool pink tags may plan arrangements with the preschool teacher to drive through the parking lot and drop-off near door 7 (where our buses for special needs students drop-off).
- Bus Riders: Preschool morning bus riders will be dropped off in a bus unloading area and released to preschool staff.
- Walkers: Parents hold their preschool pink walker tag and walk up the hill to meet staff near the parking lot by door 7 at 9:10. Parents will release their children to preschool staff. It is important to hold your walker pass as you are proceeding up the hill every day because other staff and parents will not know you are a preschool parent/caregiver.
If your child is arriving through a daycare, please speak with your child’s teacher to make arrangements.
MORNING CLASS DISMISSAL
- Car Riders & Bus Riders: All car riders and bus riders will meet their buses and parents’/care providers’ vehicles in the loop that is in front of the school at 12:30. Car riders, please display your preschool pink tag in the window. This will be in front of door 1. Please be advised that there may be a short wait time during bus loading and unloading.
- Walkers: Preschool staff will bring the students to door 1 at 12:30. Parents will meet staff at door 1 and show their preschool pink numbered walker tag.
AFTERNOON PRESCHOOL STUDENTS’ ARRIVAL
- Car Riders: Car riders will drop students off in the front main loop at 12:35. Please have your preschool yellow car rider tag displayed. Please be advised there may be a brief wait time when buses are unloading and loading students.
- Walkers: Parents will bring their children to door 1, carrying their preschool yellow walker tag.
- Bus Riders: Bus riders will be unloaded in the main entrance loop upon arrival.
If your child is arriving through a daycare, please speak with your child’s teacher to make arrangements.
AFTERNOON PRESCHOOL STUDENTS’ DISMISSAL
- Peer Model Car Riders: Peer models will be picked up in the kiss and ride loop at 4 p.m. Parents must have their car rider tag displayed in their front window.
- Car Riders: Preschool students with preschool yellow tags may plan arrangements with the preschool teacher to drive through the parking lot and pick up near door 7 (where our buses for special needs students pick-up)
- Bus Riders: Bus riders will be boarded onto buses by preschool staff.
- Walkers: Preschool staff will meet parents with preschool yellow walker tags by door 7 at 3:55 p.m., adjacent to the parking lot. Parents must carry their walker tags so it is visible to staff and parents each day.
- Preschool Student's Older Sibling(s): Older siblings of preschool students will meet preschool staff and siblings in the cafeteria. They will exit door 7 to meet their preschool sibling and parent.
