What is the PTCO?

We are a non-profit volunteer group comprised of parents, teachers and administrators. We are an organization dedicated to raising funds for Henderson Elementary to supplement the school's budget. All funds raised go directly to the school. We have various events and fundraising activities scheduled throughout the year to achieve our fundraising goal. Building up the school's library with lots of new, current books is our priority and we also use funds for technology equipment, field trip buses, teacher reimbursements, teacher appreciation activities and much more.

If you would like to join our efforts, please fill out the membership form.  Joining the PTCO does not require you to volunteer or attend the monthly meetings.  We understand everyone is busy but if you could find the time to volunteer, we'd love the help.  Please click on the volunteer button to explain WHY it's a great idea to volunteer at the school.  We look forward to meeting everyone and working with you this year!

PTCO's Current Projects
Here's our 2021-2022 school year primary project goals.  Suggestions, ideas, and other supportive assistance would be appreciated!

Project: LIBRARY

Library Book Drive

Our goal this year is to help our new Librarian, Mrs. Kimberly Gaw, rebuild the library with new and updated content as well as some of the classics. This is one of the most immediate needs of Henderson Elementary right now.  Stay tuned for some ways to help us in this initiative.  Let us know if you have come creative ideas to help us in this endeavor!!!

Project: COURTYARD

Courtyard Mock Up

The PTCO wants to help support an interactive courtyard idea imagined by Ms. Jacobsmeyer and her ESOL students. The idea would be to create an outdoor space with a variety of activities, gardens, reading area and more. It would ideally provide the children with some outdoor classroom time to promote education on another dimension.   Let us know if you have come creative ideas on funding  for such a project or even some companies willing to help us in this endeavor!!!
