Welcome Back Letter for Families

Dear Henderson Elementary Parents and Guardians,

Summer greetings from your proud and excited new Henderson Elementary principal!  I am thrilled that you have chosen to be a part of the Husky House for the 2021-22 school year.  As I enter into my 14th year as a PWCS principal, I feel extra hopeful and enthusiastic as we welcome back the majority of our Huskies for in-person learning.  We will continue to apply all that we learned during the pandemic and virtual learning, while also taking advantage of the effective hands-on learning opportunities afforded to us through in-person learning.  For the small number of Husky families electing to remain virtual this fall, know that PWCS and Henderson will work diligently to provide the best possible learning experience for your child.

Staff have been busy attending summer professional learning opportunities, taking some time to rest and rejuvenate, and have been planning and preparing to make the most of every minute for our Huskies this school year.  Our Henderson Elementary priorities will be focusing on acceleration and recovery, providing a positive and healthy school culture by dedicating time to develop students’ social and emotional skills, and relationships with staff and peers. To ensure that our students maximize their academic, social and emotional growth this school year, you can expect that we will be working harder than ever to engage all our parents and guardians at Henderson throughout the school year.

Included below this letter are links and important information for you to begin planning for the 2021-22 school year.  Thank you in advance for your partnership.  I am eager to begin the school year and get to know all of our Henderson Huskies.

Proudly yours,

Amy M. Schott, Principal
